The University of Newcastle (UON), established in
1965, has a student population of just over
20,000. It offers over 150 undergraduate and
graduate courses, delivered via five Faculties -
Business and Law; Education and Arts; Engineering
and Built Environement; Health; and Science and
Information Technology.
The University is an exceptional achiever in
research with an international reputation for
expertise in innovative approaches to teaching
and learning. With campuses in both the Central
Coast and Hunter regions of NSW, it serves a
community of around a million people.
There are two main campuses, both of which have
won national awards for architecture and
sympathetic environmental management. The larger
campus at Callaghan lies about 12 kilometres from
the Centre of Newcastle on a beautiful natural
bushland site, and this is where the great
majority of UON's students study.
The other main campus is at Ourimbah on the
Central Coast, about half way between Newcastle
and Sydney. It is part of an innovative joint
venture between the University, the Hunter
Institute (TAFE NSW) and the Central Coast
Community College.

Aims and Objectives
A dynamic MBA
programme that offers practical insights and
relevant skills to manage today's fast-paced,
complex business environment.The programme will
equip you with a range of analytic, strategic and
leadership skills, and ground you in fundamental
business areas such as accounting, finance,
organisational behaviour, economics, marketing and
management.Analytic and problem solving skills are
emphasised through an applied understanding of the
