The
Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in
International Hotel and Tourism Management embraces
much of the basic content of Schiller's MBA in
International Business and goes on to focus on a core
of courses specific to the area of International Hotel
and Tourism Management. The MBA in International Hotel
and Tourism Management provides the credential to
enter into this dynamic industry directly at a
management level.
This
degree is offered at the
London and Florida
&
Leysin (Dual Centre Program Leysin-London)
campuses, where it can be completed in two semesters
and a summer (11 months) of full-time study (six
courses each semester, three in the seven-week summer
term). Working professionals can also earn this degree
on a part-time (evenings and weekends) basis in 2 to 4
years of study. The program consists of fifteen
3-credit courses, plus a final comprehensive
examination or, subject to the decision of the Program
Advisor, a thesis requiring a formal defense in lieu
of the final examination. The thesis is in addition to
the 45 credit (fifteen course) requirement.
Admission Requirements:

Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in
business administration, hospitality, or hotel and
restaurant management.

Completion of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in
related fields, such as economics, including
completion of the following courses: microeconomics,
statistics, business law, marketing, management and
accounting.

Submission of score on Graduate Management
Admissions Test (GMAT). (Students may submit their
GMAT results during their first term at SIU.)
