Concentration in Information Technology Management
This
concentration is designed to provide students with the
skills they will need to pursue careers in the quickly
expanding electronic environment of international
business. Students with a bachelor's degree in
international business and a concentration in
information technology management will be prepared for
entry level positions in the management of international
corporations and other enterprises which relate to
electronic commerce, systems integration, and the
strategic use of electronic technology in business.
This concentration emphasizes course work in the use of
databases, programming and design, and systems analysis,
implementation and management along with basic business
administration and international business courses. The
IT management concentration is offered at SIU's
Florida,
London,
Heidelberg and
Madrid campuses.
Students
must fulfill all
requirements including the core courses
(except the 12 credits of business electives) required for
the BBA in International Business as well as the
