Ivy Compass (IC) offers admissions counseling to prospective students aspiring to attend U.S. institutions like Harvard, Yale and Columbia. Created and staffed by former admissions officers from elite U.S. colleges and universities, Ivy Compass guides students on how to become competitive applicants.
IC counsels both undergraduate and graduate students, including applicants to engineering and business schools. All IC counseling sessions are delivered via video conferencing, phone or in person. Prior to each session, counselors collect and review information about each client’s academic and extracurricular record and prepare customized feedback. This feedback includes concrete steps students can begin taking, as early as Class 9, to increase their likelihood of gaining admission to elite U.S. colleges and universities.
In addition, clients receive the following services:
- Email access to admissions counselors
- Unlimited access to an invitation-only, online community where issues of concern to clients are addressed
- Access to regular webcasts and podcasts on admission to elite US colleges and universities produced by IC counselors
The Initial Consultation
All Ivy Compass packages include a 60-minute initial consultation. Prior to this session, IC sends each student a questionnaire to collect background information for an initial assessment. During this consultation, IC assesses each student's level of academic preparation and performance. In addition, IC evaluates each student's extracurricular activities and interests. Counselors discuss each student’s goals and their level of understanding of what it takes to get admitted to elite U.S. colleges and universities. To conclude this session, IC provides clients with additional resources and reading material to begin educating them in depth about the admissions process at elite U.S. colleges and universities.
