Management of Organizational Behaviour:
The subject lays emphasis on improving organizational performance through better understanding and use of human resources. Some of the topics are organizational behaviour, staffing, management development & organizational
effectiveness.

This part of the course commences with a look at management as a behavioural science. The relationship between management and leadership is closely scrutinized; the management process is examined along with the role of management
in a Social System.

Theories of Behaviour are examined along with Motivation research, the need to understand what workers want being an integral aspect of the research. The motivation environment is discussed in view of the existing theories
prevalent in this field and a relation between motivation and satisfaction is derived.

Leadership and the many approaches and styles of leadership are covered as this forms the pivot for the success of an organization. Also outlined are the situational approaches to leadership as well as its applications. The
relation between effective leadership and successful leadership is also examined to understand the environmental variables that surround our organizations. Also discussed are Power and Position Power in an enterprise.

The concept of constructive discipline is introduced to the students with the theory of regressive cycle and the aspects to be considered while disciplining an individual. Building effective relationships in an organization is
dealt with in detail along with the concept of group dynamics, which is discussed briefly.

6. Personnel Management:
It helps students to understand the importance of management of manpower and the concepts of Manpower Planning, administration of wages and salaries, Training and Development and Internal Mobility.

The course starts with the introduction of Organizational Philosophy to lay a foundation to understand Personnel Management. The meaning and scope of personnel management is covered as well as the functions of personnel management.
