1. CERTIFICATE IN MARKETING

The Certificate course introduces students to the useful business philosophy of Marketing and offers students the opportunity to develop a Marketing approach to the overall functioning of a business.

Duration of Course  : One academic term;  September to December or January to June.  
Entry requirements :
  • 5GCSEsatgradesA, B, C or equivalent or
  • A suitable BTEC National Award or
  • High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma or
  • LCC Certificate in Business Studies or
  • Any other qualification equivalent to one of the above.
Professional/examining body:  The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). Examinations: June and December.

  • Principles of Marketing
  • Principles and Practice of Public Relations
  • Quantitative Methods for Managers
  • Principles and Practice of Advertising
2. DIPLOMA IN MARKETING

The Diploma level course concentrates on areas of study where administrative or managerial expertise is developed. Students seeking a career in Marketing must be in a position to understand the likely impact of internal and external factors and this course will seek to train students in these areas.

Duration of Course  : One academic term;  September to December or January to June. 
Entry requirements :
  • The Certificate in Marketing (ICM) or
  • ICM Certificate in Marketing or
  • HND/HNC or suitable BTEC National Award or
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales or marketing management or
  • Any other qualifications equivalent to one of the above
Examining body: The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) Examinations: June and December.

3. GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MARKETING

A very practical course placing the emphasis on Marketing decision making, strategic planning and control. A series of case studies are used to highlight the major areas of interest to Marketing managers and students are prepared for the challenges of further studies at Postgraduate level or for a rewarding career in Marketing Management.

Duration of the Course: Each level can be completed in one academic term, September to December or January to June.

  • Five GCSEs at grades A, B, C or equivalent, or
  • A suitable BTEC National Award, or
  • High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma, or
  • LCC Certificate in Business Studies
  • Any other qualifications equivalent to one of the above.

4. DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL MARKETING

The purpose of this course is to provide students interested in marketing, with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to operate effectively within a company in their own country, in marketing to other countries, or working within an international marketing operation.

Duration of the Course: One academic year, September to June or January to December (with a long summer break).  
Entry Requirements:
  • 5 GCSEs/GCE O levels, or
  • High School Leaving Certificate/Diploma, or
  • LCC Certificate in Business Studies, or
  • Relevant experience for applicants 23 years of age or over
Examining body: The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) Examinations: June and December.
