1. CERTIFICATE IN EXPORT AND IMPORT PRACTIC

The Certificate course provides students with the skills and knowledge in exporting and importing documentation and procedures to enable them to fulfill a position in an export office or agency.

Duration of Course  : One academic term; September to December or January to June. 
Entry requirements :
  • 3 GCSEs/GCE O levels or equivalent, or
  • One year's relevant experience for applicants 20 years of age or over, or
  • Professional or academic qualifications recognised by the Institute of Commercial Management
Professional/examining body: The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). Examinations: June, September, December and March.

2. DIPLOMA IN EXPORTING AND IMPORTING MANAGEMENT

The Diploma course prepares students for a future managerial role in the industry as well as for the establishing and operating of an exporting and importing business.

Duration of Course  : One academic term; September to December or January to June  
Entry requirements :
  • The Certificate in Exporting and Importing (ICM), or
  • LCC Certificate in Business Studies, or
  • Other business qualifications acceptable to ICM of similar academic standing to the above, or
  • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience for students over 22 years of age.
Professional/examining body: The Institute of Commercial Management (ICM). Examinations: June, September, December and March.

1. DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS

This course is ideal for those students who ultimately envisage fulfilling a managerial position in any international organisation. The key elements one associates with international business all form a part of this interesting course including marketing, management and financial planning.

Duration of the Course: One academic year, September to June or January to December. 
Entry Requirements:
  • 5 GCSEs/GCEs including English and Mathematics, or
  • High School leaving Certificate/ Diploma, or
  • 1 A-Level and 2 GCSE/GCEs, or
  • LCC Certificate in Business Studies, or
  • 4 passes of another recognised professional examining body.

2. EXECUTIVE DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

In the last few years we have witnessed dramatic changes in the field of management and business. New technologies have minimized distances, cultural differences are becoming less important and various political and economic actions are uniting nations. Managers are expected to operate on an international platform and even small businesses are becoming heavily involved in international trade. The purpose of this advanced course of the Institute of Commercial Management is to provide students with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to operate effectively as managers in an international business environment.

Duration of Course  : One academic term; September to December or January to June. 
Entry Requirements:
  • Diploma in Business Studies of LCC or ICM or
  • Diploma in Business Administration of LCC or
  • Diploma in International Business (ICM) or
  • Diploma in International Marketing (ICM) or
  • Certificate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing or
  • HNC or HND or Holders of Degrees in Business and related areas or
  • Other qualifications of similar level/standing to any of the above qualifications.
