Postgraduate Programmes

MSc in Global Banking and Finance

The MSc in Global Banking and Finance exposes course members to the latest developments in the academic finance literature set within a practical business context. The unique balance of both the why and the how ensures that course members are able to think from first principles, deal with financial issues and contribute to the formulation of finance related strategies upon graduation. The aim is to develop a general manager for the financial services industry with some specialist insights. Softer managerial skills complement the more quantitative aspects traditionally associated with masters degrees in this area.

With course members to date speaking an average of three languages each and with a truly international educational background, seminars are never short of a global perspective. The programmes led by high calibre business professionals seek to explore the latest developments within the context of a global environment.

Nowhere is this better illustrated than in the module called Business in its Linguistic and Cultural Environment. Here students examine the relationship between culture and economic activity in a number of societies. Linguistic abilities can be further enhanced, subject to demand, in a number of languages. On the MSc there are seven core modules, the Dissertation and one elective module.

  • All EBS London graduates leave speaking at least two languages (some speak as many as seven).

  • Each student takes several work placements in more than one country before they graduate.

  • All EBS London students study abroad to broaden their international experience ahead of graduation.

This winning combination means that our students are much sought after by employers: year after year we have 100% of graduates employed or in graduate study 6 months after graduation.
