A practitioner focus
is central to this programme. Industry-led
workshops and guest lectures, together with an
emphasis on the internationalisation of business
are central elements of the programme.
Research Skills Analysis, taken in both
semesters, is also a vital part of the overall
programme, providing the theory and techniques to
perform research at Masters level.
Programme Structure
The MBA

and a 60-credit dissertation. Normally three
modules in each of two semesters are taught.
On completion of the taught elements students
will proceed to the dissertation stage. During
this part of the course students will be assigned
a supervisor to work with. The dissertation must
be completed within six months. On successful
completion of the dissertation the MBA will be
awarded. Exit awards such as a Postgraduate
Certificate or Diploma may be awarded upon part
completion of the course.
Assessment
Students are assessed
via a wide range of methods in order to ensure
the development of an extensive range of
abilities and skills over the duration of the
programme. These methods include management
reports, case studies, individual and group
coursework, presentations, time constrained
assessments, development of business plans based
on case studies, production of a personal
development portfolio and a dissertation.
