CAREER / WORK OPPORTUNITIES

Some of the benefits of studying in Ireland and DBS are

  • The students who complete their Primary or Masters degree in Ireland get a 6 month permit from the Garda Immigration office to find a job in Ireland. This means that the government in Ireland is very keen to absorb International students on work permits. The students can work full time in this 6 month period and also look for a work permit by applying through various employment agencies and internet. If they get a job then they get two year work permit that normally is granted to International students and which has now been named as GREEN CARD. The students after working for two years on work permit can apply for PERMANENT RESIDENT status.

  • The students during the study period are allowed to work part time 20 hours a week and full time during term breaks. They can start working as soon as they register at the college and get their identity card.

  • Dublin Business School offers a 4 year BA (Hons) Business Studies program which incorporates one year of full time work placement. The students study for 1st and 2nd year and then work full time in the third year (work placement year) and then study in the 4th year. This gives an opportunity to the students to gain some valuable experience and helps them to get work permit after completion of the program.
