Undergraduate Programs:
BA (Hons) in Hospitality Management (Thames
Valley University.)
The BA (Honours)
Degree in Hospitality Management on offer at
Cavendish College is structured over three
stages. On successful completion of each stage
students will be awarded with an internationally
recognised qualification.
The course has a three year full time modular
structure and is organized on a three terms per
year basis. During year 1 student's receive a
practical training programme which involves a
period of kitchen and restaurant operations,
business
computing and wine appreciation.
Student's benefit from these additional modules
since not only do they provide an opportunity to
put into practice the theory that has been learnt
in the classroom they are also certified with
industry recognised qualifications. In year 2
during the third term and summer vacation
students are expected to complete 20 week period
of appropriate work placement in the hospitality
industry.
During year 3 students are expected to complete a
research project and in term two of that year are
able to select an option module according to
their individual interest. Students are expected
to accumulate 360 credits on a basis of 120 each
year in order to successfully graduate from the
programme.

Entry requirements
Applicants will be admitted to the course on the
basis of the following criteria:

12th class (10+2) with good grades

Students may also directly join the second year
of this course with appropriate hospitality
industry qualifications.

Applicants over 21 years of age without formal
qualifications but appropriate hospitality
industry experience may also be accepted.
