Founded in 1908, the National University of
Ireland (NUI) is a federation of four Irish
universities. The National University of Ireland,
Dublin, formerly known as University College
Dublin (UCD) has approximately 20,000 students
and 2,000 staff, making it one of the largest
universities in Britain and Ireland. It is a
fully accredited university and has a full range
of faculties ranging from Arts to Medicine, with
some of the largest professional schools in
Engineering, Law, Veterinary Medicine and
Business.
The
Faculty of Commerce was one of the foundation
faculties of the University in 1 908, and as such
is one of the oldest business schools in the
world. It has the distinction of offering the
first MBA in Europe. It is also one of the
first elite schools in the world to earn three
prestigious world class accreditations
concurrently: AACSB International, EQUIS and AMBA.
The Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business,
the graduate division of the Faculty of Commerce,
is now one of the largest business schools in
Europe. It offers a full range of postgraduate
business degrees including a taught Doctorate
program, a highly innovative MBA program and many
specialist Masters programs.
Aims and Objectives
The Master of Science in Management degree is an
internationally recognised specialist program that
provides students with the theories, practical
skills and comparative perspectives needed for
decision making responsibility. Students
specialise in one management functional area.
The objectives of the MSc are to:

Structure and Content
The MSc (Management) program consists of four core
courses and four elective specialist courses and
may be completed in 15 months in Singapore.
