Pictured, Dewesh Singh holding his finalist award for the 2004 in the national ACORN Hospitality Industry Award. Dewesh graduated from Schiller International University, London, in December 2004, having completed his MBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management.

Prior to joining Schiller he worked as Assistant F&B Manager at the Hulhule Island Hotel, Maldives (an associate of Singapore Airlines) for 3 years. Before this he worked as Assistant Manager-F & B at the Kaynes Hotel, Mysore, India.

Originally from Calcutta, he studied hotel management at the International Institute of Hotel Management, Calcutta where he graduated in April 1998.

Whilst studying for his MBA (IHTM) Dewesh has gained valuable experience working in banqueting at top London hotels such as the Thistle, Dorchester and Carlton Tower Hotel.
Additionally, he has recently joined the HCIMA ( Hotel and Catering International Management Association ) as an Associate Member.

Dewesh, is currently working as a Trainee General Manager for the Premier Travel Inn and on completion of his training, he will be given his own hotel in the group to run. The Whitbread Group PLC has sponsored his work permit and own some of the best hospitality related brands in the UK, such as Pizza Hut, Costa, David Lloyd Leisure, TGI Friday, Marriott Hotels and Premier Travel Inn. With over 450 hotels in the UK, the Whitbread Group was listed in The Sunday Times newspaper as one of the 100 Best Companies to work for in the UK in 2004. The Premier Travel Inn brand is ranked No. 1 amongst the budget hotels in the UK.
